Rania Karachaliou - Assistant Professor
Rania Karachaliou is an Assistant Professor of Applied Linguistics in the Department of Primary Education at the University of Ioannina. In the past, she has taught linguistics courses at the University of Patras, Aegean, and Crete, and worked as a teaching assistant at the Open University. Her interests revolve around the narrative construction of identities, fluid racism, critical discourse studies, and critical literacy. She is a member of the Gender Equality and Anti-Discrimination Committee of the University of Ioannina. She has published the monograph Addressing in Conversational Narratives (Manolis Triantafyllidis Foundation, 2018) and co-edited the volume Tracing the Penetration of Racism in Anti-Racist Discourse: Studies on Fluid Racism (Pedio, 2023) with Argyris Archakis and Villy Tsakona.
