Internship

Internship

Admission requirements:

Completion of an internship is mandatory for the successful completion of the Master’s program. The purpose of the internship is to expose students to professional settings so that, through reflective processes, they can understand the connection between theory and practice. The internship takes place during the first and second years as part of specific courses. It lasts 500 hours, 300 of which are carried out in educational settings. It includes academic, laboratory, and tutorial support from the program’s faculty, as well as professional supervision. It is governed by the ethical and professional standards of science, and students are bound by rules of confidentiality and the protection of sensitive personal data. The relevant department of the Ministry of Education is notified regarding the students’ practicum. The practicum in educational institutions corresponds to 30 ECTS credits (see details in the table below) and 300 hours. In collaboration with the instructors of the Master’s program, students conduct participatory observation, action research, and educational interventions in the aforementioned settings. They actively participate in the course workshops and submit a portfolio consisting of: a) case studies of the structures, b) systematic records based on observation tools (structured and unstructured), c) a final paper based on the collected data and reflective pedagogical comments on the interventions they carried out. The master’s program ensures that graduate students gain practical experience, preparing them to design, organize, implement, and evaluate teaching and educational programs.
