Maria Liakopoulou - Associate Professor
Maria Liakopoulou is an Associate Professor in the Department of Primary Education at the University of Ioannina, specializing in School Pedagogy. Her research interests focus on School Pedagogy and, more specifically, on educational assessment, educational leadership, teacher education and training, and Intercultural Pedagogy. Her publications and research activity fall within these areas. Specifically, she has published four books in the above fields, co-edited five collective works, twenty-three publications in Greek and foreign peer-reviewed journals, twenty-seven publications in peer-reviewed collective volumes, and numerous presentations at scientific conferences (citations in Google Scholars: 803).
Since 2003, he has participated in European research programs, as well as in research programs of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs. In particular, he participated as a member of the research team and project team in the program for the reform of the Practical Training of the Department of Philosophy and Pedagogy, in research programs concerning the administration of educational units and the introduction of innovations in education, in programs of the Ministry of Education, Research, and Religious Affairs for the education of repatriated and foreign students, and during the years 2010 -2014, I was scientifically responsible for organizing in-school seminars in primary and secondary schools throughout the country, as part of the European program “Education of foreign and repatriated students.” Since 2010, he has been teaching independently in undergraduate and postgraduate programs at higher education institutions in Greece. He is a founding member of the Center for Research and Support of Schools in Management and Training (KERYSDE), the Hellenic Observatory for Intercultural Education and Training (EPADIPE), and is a member of the Pedagogical Society of Greece.
